(1960s) An historic tiki by Sea & Jungle carving for Steve Crane's The LUAU in Beverly Hills. It is possible this was first made by Sea & Jungle from a design by George Nakashima. This carving style eventually was offered in the Sea & Jungle catalog. This particular carving was purchased by OA upon the closure of The LUAU in the late 1970s. Standing at almost 6 1/2 feet tall, the wall figure features exquisite detail carving, subtle polychrome paint and capiz shell eyes.77"x26"VG+ with typical wear
