(1973) In the 1970s, Don the Beachcomber Corporation was pumping millions of dollars into upgrade and location expansions with the hope of triggering a boost to the continually sagging sales of the decade. Some of the most elaborate architecture and interior decor of their history was lavished on their build outs during this period. Architecture firm Yates & Silverman working with Howard Hirsch and Associates built at a handful of new California and Hawaiian locations such as Marina del Rey, San Diego, San Jose and Honolulu. Oceanic Arts worked on both. As you can see in the plans, the circular floor plan made for a very interesting space and OA filled them with lots of Polynesian decor. Within a decade, both will close. Blueprints and ozalids with notations.24"x36" each.VG+ with typical wear and creasing.(Not all items pictured)
