(1960s) An incredible original Sea & Jungle scallop shell lamp very much in the vein of the Oceanic Arts scallop shell lamps. Barbara Tobeckson was the very talented wife of Tiki designer, Toby Tobeckson (Designs by TOBY). She was employed by Sea & Jungle to add to their catalog of Polynesian inspired offerings. Barbara also did a good deal of the bamboo and resin lamps which were eventually sent to Taiwan and China for assembly line replication in the Orchids of Hawaii line of lighting. This is one of her late 50s to early 60s designs. A combination of large scallop "bake" shells, wood and tapa cloth. VG+ with typical wear. 23"dia x12".
