(1960s) A true treasure with a Hollywood pedigree! Richard Ellis is one of the legendary carvers who created spectacular works of art for the commercial Poly-Pop trade. This large palmwood tiki is striking and stands at well over 8 feet in height. This was created under commission for Don the Beachcomber in Las Vegas at the Sahara Casino on the Strip. It was acquired by OA in the late 1970s upon the closure of the venue. This tiki was used as a prop by Martin Scorsese's production of CASINO (1995). It can be seen in the restaurant at Sam Rothstein's (Robert De Niro) casino, The Tangiers.96.5"x23"x24"VG+ with typical wear
