(1960s) This handsome art piece was actually intended to "record" a particular wall panel carving made for the famed, Marie Antoinette's Restaurant in Quebec, Canada. The googie masterpiece was designed by Armet & Davis And featured a spectacular Polynesian lounge outfitted by OA. LeRoy created this direct graphite rubbing for use as a template should another panel be required. This is why it was simply taped together with scrap paper and now makes a striking piece of art onto itself. Signed by LeRoy Schmaltz.22.5"x30".VG with tone staining from adhesive tape and light fold creasing.
