(1973) Ok. Here's a neat story. In the mid 1960s, Johnson Products was purchasing "God of Fortune" carved tiki fountains direct from William Westenhaver's, WITCO. With the expense it took to make these, the pricing did not allow for much of a markup for Johnson. Over a phone call a few years later, they requested a sample of a custom carved fountain by OA which would be exclusive to Johnson on a wholesale basis. LeRoy was concerned that anything that took beyond minimal hand carving and shaping would still run more expensive than they could feasibly manufacture at low cost. The compromise, was a design by LeRoy more akin to the 'home-hobbyist' wood tikis of the era. This blocky form would cost less to manufacture and in turn, allow more markup for Johnson. They commissioned a couple of prototype samples of the OA fountain and this is the work order. LeRoy wasn't in love with the less-than-spectacular results, so OA eventually passed on making more. The work order is accompanied by a photo of the finished product.11"x8.5"VG+.
