(1960s) For many years, this lamp hung tantalizingly from the rafters in the Oceanic Arts showroom with a harsh, NOT FOR SALE tag on it. Well, here it is on offer since OA first created it for the PAGO-PAGO in the early 1960s. Bob Van Oosting purchased back most of the lighting OA created for the restaurant after its closure in the 1980s. This amazing, large sized lamp was assembled from an imported rattan basket, lined with spun fiberglass and cloth Tiki pattern cloth. There is some cracking to the bottom panel which does not detract yet speaks to the age of this incredible, one-of-a-kind OA lamp, created specifically for the PAGO-PAGO. Includes the dreaded OA - NOT FOR SALE tag! VG with some cracking to the bottom panel and general wear from use. 38"dia x 13".
