(1956) One of the earliest offerings from Schmaltz-Van Oosting are their Tiki "Mana Surf" Charms. This is a rare "double pattern" created when the demand grew for these novelty items and Bob and LeRoy began to maximize output. Instead of one at a time, they made two! Talk about mass production! Once carvings were made from this pattern, they would be roughly cut off, hand finished on a sander and them sent into stain, waxing and tumble polishing. A rare artifact from the early days of Tiki and Surf!5.5"x1.25".VG+ with wear.
